Famous imperial concubine valued by her village.
One joined the imperial palace in the northern desert
Single mossy monument in the yellow sunset.
King chose his consort only by looking at portraits
(Pledged to a Huzi leader, she spent months with him and he fell for her)
After her death, one moonlit evening he dreamed of her soul.
For one thousand years, pipa music composition in her honor using Huzi lyrics
I feel her unmistakable song of resentment.

Jingmen: City in central Hubei Province.
Huzi: Northern nomads, including the Mongolians.
Pipa music: Ancient stringed instrument similar to the lyre.
