Zhao fa gu tian tian
Xi feng lie hua zhan.
Gu xiang piao yi yuan
Wang yi hao wu bian.
Jin shui xi bu jian,
Man jiang qing ke lian.
Ben teng guo fo jiao
Kuang dang zao ping chuan.
Ye shi you chan ke
Diao tai xun mu yan.
Xiang qi ding xian dao
Jiu li shui chan chan.
Begin to See Jiazhou
Dawn breaks, drums pounding
West wind blows through the boat’s flags.
Hometown already distant
The views, and my future prospects, vast and without borders.
Jin River narrows, cannot see too far ahead
Man River very clean and pure, gaining my attention.
Surging forward past the Buddha’s foot area
Waves calm down, river flattens out.
Hermits here have meditation visitors staying over
Look for him at the fishing dock through sunset mists.
Arriving too early, perhaps you are waiting for me
If so, for a long time you have been listening to water murmur over and around the rocks.
