庚 子 岁 五 月 中 从 都 还 阻 风 于 规 林 ： 二 首
自 古 叹 行 役
我 今 始 知 之。
山 川 一 何 旷
巽 坎 难 与 期。
崩 浪 聒 天 响
长 风 无 息 时。
久 游 恋 所 生
如 何 淹 在 兹 ？
静 念 园 林 好
人 间 良 可 辞。
当 年 讵 有 几？
纵 心 复 何 疑。

Zi gu tan xing yi
Wo jin shi zhi zhi.
Shan chuan yi he kuang
Xun kan nan you qi.
Beng lang guo tain xiang
Chang feng wu xi shi.
Jiu you lian suo sheng
Ru he yan zai zi?
Jing nian yuan lin hao
Ren jian liang ke ci.
Dang nian ju you ji ?
Zong xin fu he yi.

From ancient times, travel and working outside difficult
Today, I begin to realize this fact.
Mountains and rivers so open and vast
Winds and heavy rain make for trials and tribulations.
White caps, heavy waves break, the noise echoes up to the sky
Strong winds blow without a break.
Traveling for a long time, miss my hometown and family
But I am now stuck here.
Still long for my treasured garden and the forests
I am ready to take leave of human affairs.
How many more prime years do I have?
It is proper for me to break away and set my heart free.
