闲 居 初 夏 午 睡 起 二 绝 句

梅 予 留 酸 软 齿 牙
芭 蕉 分 绿 与 窗 纱。
日 长 睡 起 无 情 思
闲 看 儿 童 捉 柳 花。

Mei yu liu suan ruan chi ya
Ba jiao fen lu yu chuang sha.
Ri chang shui qi wu qing si
Xian kan er tong zhuo liu hua.

Remaining sour plums weakens and ages teeth
Green plantain leaves with gauzed windows.
Long days, arise from sleep without thoughts or feelings
Leisurely idle, see the children holding onto willow tree flowers.

松 阴 一 架 半 弓 苔
偶 欲 看 书 又 懒 开。
戏 掬 清 泉 洒 蕉 叶
儿 童 误 认 雨 声 来。

Song yin yi jia ban gong tai
Ou yu kan shu you lan kai.
Xi ju qing quan sa jiao ye
Er tong wu ren yu sheng lai.

Almost three-foot high lattice and pine tree shadows for growing moss
Too lazy to open my books and read.
With both hands cupped, splash clear spring water on banana leaves
Children try to identify these arriving rain sounds.
